Despite facing many roadblocks and issues in the past, Impact Wrestling has remained an important part of the wrestling landscape. After making some noteworthy signings throughout both 2020 and 2021, with the likes of Deonna Purrazzo, Chelsea Green, The Good Brothers, W. Morrissey, and Steve Maclin joining the Impact Roster, this year looks to be another big year for the company.

While other companies like AEW, New Japan, GCW, and MLW will all make plays for any number of the growing amount of free agents available, Impact could become home to a number of important or promising names! Let's take a look at some potential free agents that could make their way into Impact Wrestling by the end of 2022.
11 Briana Brady
A name that many likely would not point to as being an anticipated signing, Briana Brady (fka B-Fab) was the sole female member of the Hit Row faction, appearing on NXT and SmackDown. While she did not appear to light things up in the ring, she did show promise.
Brady's big appeal is her look, presence, and charisma, with her being a standout of the group and possessing that superstar aura that many wrestlers lack. Should Impact decide to pick her up, Brady could become a long-term project for the Knockouts Division.
10 Breezus
A name that left WWE fans baffled in both his mishandling and his subsequent release from the company, the former Tyler Breeze is now going by the name Breezus, and Impact Wrestling feels tailor-made for his type of character.

Whether it be comedic work like the Fashion Files, or delivering killer matches as he did during his original NXT run, Breezus could find himself thriving both creatively and in-ring as a part of the talented Impact Wrestling roster. A pairing with Impact's resident comedy genius, Johnny Swinger, could warrant extremely positive results.
8 Danielle Kamela
After being released by WWE, despite an apparent call-up from NXT that saw her never appear on TV, Danielle Kamela just recently made an appearance as part of an AEW Dark taping. With it just being an appearance, Kamela could find her way into Impact at some point in 2022.
While she never got much of a chance to show what she is truly capable of between the ropes, NXT often used Kamela for her looks and charisma, either by herself or in a brief partnership with current SmackDown star, Aliyah. Presenting herself similarly to Scarlett Bordeaux's Smokeshow character, Kamela could find a strong position within Impact's ever-changing Knockouts Division.
7 Biff Busick
A wrestler that could land anywhere and immediately become one of the most interesting competitors there, Biff Busick entering Impact Wrestling in 2022 would be sensational news for the company. The former Oney Lorcan is going to be a get for whatever company lands him, but Impact especially would be a great spot.
With a unique style and move-set, Busick would add some much-needed ferocity to Impact Wrestling's roster. Whether squaring off against names like Moose, Josh Alexander, or Eric Young in the upper card of Impact or battling some X Division names like Jake Something, Biff could be a perfect addition to Impact.
6 Katrina Cortez
After having a brief run on the main roster alongside Sin Cara, then spending some time in NXT, Katrina Cortez never got a fair shake while under contract with WWE. Being only 25 years old, she could serve as a bright prospect for Impact in the near future.
One unique aspect that Cortez could bring into Impact immediately is that she is a Luchador, something that the Knockouts Division does not have. That, coupled with her young age, could lead to her standing out and becoming a future star for Impact!
5 YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto
While Impact Wrestling has been the subject of much praise in recent times, one area where the company is lacking is in its tag team division. A positive change that could help bolster Impact's tag team roster could see New Japan lending some help in the form of two CHAOS members.
YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto have become a fantastic duo in New Japan, with their matches against The Dangerous Tekkers being truly great tag team wrestling. Even a brief run in Impact could help get fans excited about Impact's tag team offerings.
4 Veda Scott
A name that deserves to be talked about more is Veda Scott. Being a featured name in women's wrestling on the independent scene, having worked as the manager for Moose and Cedric Alexander in Ring of Honor, and having served as part of AEW's Women's Tag Team Tournament commentary team, Veda is a jack of all trades.
Whether it be joining Impact as part of the commentary team or as a Knockout, Veda Scott would be an immediate positive addition to Impact Wrestling. Specifically, as a Knockout, Scott would be an instant standout with her top-tier promo abilities.
3 Tomohiro Ishii
While Tomohiro Ishii is a full-time wrestler for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Impact and NJPW do have a working relationship that has allowed Bullet Club, Minoru Suzuki, and Satoshi Kojima to find their way into the company.
During the summer of 2021, Ishii would battle Impact Wrestling's Moose at NJPW Resurgence in California. The match saw the men mesh almost perfectly in a highlight from the event. Should Ishii return to the states, spending some time in Impact could lead to some great matches!
2 Toni Storm
One of the brightest names in women's wrestling, Toni Storm is still incredibly young. Following her exit from WWE in late 2021, she appears to be on a course to becoming a future star in whatever company she lands in.

Whether it be AEW, Stardom, or Impact, Storm will likely be pushed hard out of the gates. Joining the prestigious Knockouts Division, Toni could face off against some of the best female talent in the world, including one of her best friends, Deonna Purrazzo.
1 Lio Rush
After ending a short stint in All Elite Wrestling in February 2022, Lio Rush has once again become a free agent. Having spent time as a part of Raw, NXT, AEW, and New Japan, Rush has gained a wealth of experience in his young career.
A move to Impact as part of a thriving X Division could be a smart move for the 27-year-old high-flyer. Being paired against the likes of El Phantasmo, Trey Miguel, Jake Something, and Chris Bey, Rush could become an instant staple of the division.
