TMNT Officially Reveals What The Turtles Look Like As Humans

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles human forms have officially been revealed, as the heroes get a surprise transformation to fit in with the public.

TMNT Human Form Revealed

Spoilers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #1In a new team-up between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Power Rangers, the Turtles' human forms have been revealed. In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #1, Donatello and Michelangelo use special technology that hides their regular appearances from the public as they take on the forms of human teenagers, showing an all-new side to the popular heroes.

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #1 by Ryan Parrott, Raul Angulo, Dan Mora, and Ed Dukeshire from BOOM! Studios and IDW Publishing, the issue opens with a meeting at a smoothie bar between the Turtles and the Power Rangers out of their usual costumes. Zack from the Rangers orders smoothies for Donatello and Michelangelo, who have taken on human forms thanks to special cloaking technology. While the two Turtles still wear their trademark headbands, they appear as humans, as the public has no idea that something is out of the ordinary.

The Turtles Human Forms Are Thanks To Two Smart Heroes

While the human forms of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are just a mirage created by technology, as it doesn't actually change their physiology, just what the public sees, it proves to be highly effective in keeping them hidden in plain sight - only briefly wearing off for Donnie, leading to a slight alteration to the machines later in the issue. The holograms are from the minds of the Blue Ranger Billy and Donatello, the two tech geniuses on the two respective superteams. Even with the minor glitch, the holograms allow the Turtles to take on human forms and not worry about being seen as monsters.

TMNT Human Transformation

The Turtles getting human forms isn't the only transformation for the heroes from the TMNT universe in the issue. After Casey Jones goes missing, he later returns as the Power Extreme, a new Ranger seemingly working alongside villains for yet-to-be-revealed reasons. However, while Casey Jones has taken on a new costume and appearance, Donatello and Michelangelo's human forms are holograms designed to trick people.

Longtime readers of TMNT comics have seen a human being transformed into a Turtle before, as Jennika became the fifth Turtle after a blood transfusion made her a mutant. However, with the new tech, courtesy of the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' most brilliant characters, the Turtles now have a way to disguise themselves in public as humans, which will undoubtedly come in handy going forward - even if seeing them in their cloaked forms remains somewhat bizarre.
