SmackDown Live Women’s Roster Invades Raw, Becky Lynch Targets Ronda Rousey

To close Monday's episode of Raw, Becky Lynch attacked Ronda Rousey backstage and the SmackDown Live Women's team invaded Raw in an all-out war.

The match between Lynch and Rousey will be one of the more anticipated bouts on the Survivor Series' card this Sunday. But on Monday, it wasn't just about one woman versus another. Lynch started the war and then led the rest of the SmackDown Live Women's team into battle as they attacked the Raw Women's roster to end the broadcast.

Raw was distracted because their team captain Alexa Bliss had set up a match between Bayley and Sasha Banks (which proved to be pointless) only to announce Ruby Riott as the final member of the Raw team. As the women of Raw attacked Bayley and Banks, the camera cut to the backstage area where Lynch had Rousey down in the locker room and put on an armbar in an attempt to cripple Rousey prior to their match on Sunday. Lynch then got up and fearlessly walked to the ring looking like she was ready to take on the red brand by herself.

Thinking they had the numbers advantage, the Raw team invited the isolated Lynch into the ring, unbeknownst to them, the rest of the SmackDown Live women's division was making their way from the crowd into the ring to attack the red brand from behind. In a mugging, SmackDown Live overpowered Raw.  That is, until Rousey's music hit and she made her way back to the ring, even with only one good arm.

Rousey lasted for a little while until a bloodied Lynch was able to take Rousey out with a chair shot. As the women of SmackDown left the ring, they left the women of Raw laying with Rousey clutching her arm. They'd sent their shot before the pay-per-view and it will be interesting to see if Raw responds tomorrow on SmackDown Live.

Survivor Series should be a strong showcase for the women of WWE. They have their own Survivor Series bout and the Lynch versus Rousey match has every opportunity to steal the show. If the fact that they closed Raw is any indication, WWE is expecting big things.
