Rey Mysterio Announced For All-In

Rey Mysterio is the latest big name to be added to the card for Cody Rhodes' sold out All-In show on Sept. 1, 2018.

In three and a half months, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks will stage the biggest independent wrestling event of all time. All-In will take place at the Sears Center in Chicago, a 10,000 seat arena. Even WWE would struggle to fill a building of that size in certain cities, however, less than 30 minutes after tickets for the show went on sale this past weekend, they sold out.

Even though there will be a lot taking place over the course of the entire weekend, All-In itself has managed to completely sell out with just one match officially announced. Rhodes will take on Nick Aldis for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. There are some other big names that have already committed though. Stars such as Kenny Omega, Jay Lethal, and IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada.

Another huge name committed to the show earlier this week too, Rey Mysterio. The luchador has been an iconic part of the pro wrestling business for two decades, yet still wrestles as if he is 25 years old. Mysterio made his most recent appearance for WWE at Greatest Royal Rumble a little more than two weeks ago but revealed on Twitter that he is All-In by posting the photo below.

Mysterio has really been getting in the good books of any and all promotions recently. Not only has he been back on WWE's payroll, but he will wrestle for New Japan before competing at All-In, and has also become a part owner of new promotion Aro-Lucha. Considering the shape he is in at the age of 43, it's no surprise that he can still do so much. Who his opponent will be at All-In will be very interesting.

All-In, as well as the entire Starrcast weekend, is quickly looking like it will be one of the biggest pro wrestling events of the year. Not only will all the wrestlers above be in attendance, but there is a very real chance that CM Punk will make his long-awaited return to the wrestling business. Punk will be holding a meet-and-greet at Pro Wrestling Tees on Aug 31, 2018, for all we know he could also be at All-In 24 hours later.
