Professional Background
Dr. Parker is Associate Professor of Radiology in the division of body imaging. Dr. Parker graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Following medical school he completed an internal medicine internship here at the University of Kansas. Dr. Parker completed his radiology residency and a fellowship in MRI at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology/Washington University in St. Louis. Following fellowship Dr. Parker spent 10 years in practice at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center where he served as Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Assistant Chief of the department.
Areas of clinical interest include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the abdomen and pelvis, including Liver, Pancreatic, and Prostate MRI.
Dr. Parker is active in clinical education and enjoys teaching residents both at the workstation and in a conference setting. He is also active in multiple national/international societies and has presented at numerous conferences over his career.
