BMC AMI Recovery Manager supports the OBJECTSET option of BMC AMI Copy when you specify BMC AMI Copy or Online Consistent Copy as the backup utility.
This option enables BMC AMI Copy to use the BMC AMI Recovery Manager repository to identify the objects in the object set, which means that you do not need to regenerate the backup JCL when objects in the object set change.
Important
OBJECTSET is a replacement for RMGROUP, which was available in BMC AMI Recovery Manager version 9.1.00.
BMC AMI Recovery Manager generates the TABLESPACE OBJECTSET option (formerly RMGROUPTS) and the INDEX OBJECTSET option (formerly RMGROUPIX) in the backup JCL. The jobs use the following values:
The RESETMOD option defaults to the BMC AMI Copy configuration option default value.
BMC AMI Copy uses the OBJECTSET YES option to ensure that all objects in the object set are recovered to the same point.
If one of the repository tables (BMCSYNC or BMCUTIL) is included in the object set, the entire object set is copied with SHRLEVEL CHANGE.
