Following the WWE Draft and the call-ups of many female NXT stars to the main roster, there's an important question that requires answers in NXT. Who will lead the way in the women's division as names like Indi Hartwell, Zoey Stark, Alba Fyre, and Isla Dawn are no longer on that brand? The answer might be that some of the replacements will come from WWE's main roster.
While Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, Kiana James, and Sol Ruca (among a few others) will be tasked with pushing the women's division forward, there is now a major shortage of viable contenders in NXT or names that might push the needle and draw in viewers as the WWE Draft impacts the NXT roster. As such, WWE might look to replace some of the departing stars with former Raw and SmackDown talents that fly under the radar during WWE Draft week.

According to a column by Erik Beaston of Bleacher Report, he writes, "Luckily for NXT, there is a wealth of women on Raw and SmackDown who are not being utilized consistently, making them prime candidates for a bit of career rejuvenation with a return to Tuesday nights." Among them, he named underutilized stars like Dana Brooke, Tegan Nox, and Shotzi who could all easily find themselves "tasked with working alongside young competitors like Sol Ruca, Kiana James, Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez."
WWE has moved main roster stars down before. Jinder Mahal is currently in NXT, while Apollo Crews was down and just got recalled as part of this weekend's WWE Draft. Perhaps the most famous example of a female talent reinventing themselves in NXT was Mandy Rose. She was moved to NXT, took the lead with the faction Toxic Attraction and became the longest-running NXT Women's Champion in brand history. That was, until she was terminated for suggestive content on a third-party platform.
Who Might Be The Next Major Female Success Story?
Clearly, NXT is all about shaping the future of WWE with its prospects. That said, those prospects need veteran people to work with, and for the veterans, the brand offers a place to shake things up and reintroduce yourself to fans. There are plenty of women on the main roster in WWE who could see this as an opportunity to start fresh and it could be a win/win for everyone.
