Overview

Dr. Peltzer is a health equity researcher focusing on structural racism, stress pathways, and health outcomes among Black and African American families. She is a qualitative methodologist and uses participatory research methods that are grounded in shared power, shared decision-making, and trust. Dr. Peltzer is the Associate Director for Service at the newly launched Center for African American Health, Co-Lead of the Community Engagement Function, KU Frontiers Clinical andamp; Translational Science Institute, and the Consortium Retention and Health Equity Lead for the All of Us Heartland Consortium.
