Having been in the industry for over four decades, Céline Dion has never bowed to the pressures of the ever-perfect entertainment industry. "Show business can be a dangerous place," the star told Magnifissance. "Anyone that goes in the jungle can see the beauty, but you can be eaten up by nature as well." The pressure to look good has rarely affected Dion. Still, she's been very open about the idea of having cosmetic surgery "not to be different, but just for maintenance," as she said during an interview with The Sun.
She continued, "I'm still very open to what the future in the aesthetic world can bring to us that's reversible, for example." But for now, she's avoiding procedures that involve chemicals like Botox due to the risk of paralysis (via The Guardian). "If I sing and nothing moves I don't think it has the same impact, so I don't want to lose my emotion, conviction, sharing with the audience," the singer explained to The Sun.
For now, though, Dion is just happy in being herself — both inside and out. "Feeling beautiful makes you feel strong," she told Us Weekly. "And feeling strong makes you succeed."
