Dave Bautista is apparently not a fan of WWE and Fox's new promotional video showcasing the move of the wrestling juggernaut in October.
FOX came out with a promo video on Friday teasing WWE's move to the network on October 4th. Featured in the video was a number of former WWE stars like The Rock, Steve Austin, John Cena and while current stars like Becky Lynch and Kofi Kingston got some love as well. One name and face that wasn't in the video was Batista.
The former WWE Champion and SmackDown regular was a big part of that show and just finished a small run in WWE with a match versus Triple H at WrestleMania 35. He formally retired from the business immediately following that match but still very much has a heart for the business and his contributions to it. So, when the video came out and The Animal wasn't in it, he let people know.
Saying simply, "C'mon guys really?!", you could tell Batista wasn't impressed.
His social media post was quickly liked and commented on by a number of his fanbase. Many flooded the comments section with support saying Batista was a huge part of the SmackDown brand and should have been included. Some posted photos of Rodney Dangerfield and others .gifs of his popular "Give me what I want" promo on Raw.
What This Means
In the grand scheme of things, there were a lot of worthy names left off that commercial. Batista can make an argument that he should have been included but can he argue he should have been included over the names that were featured in the commercial? That's a hard sell.
The good news is, he's still keeping an eye on the product and feels emotionally invested in it. That's never a bad thing.
