Chris Jericho Confirms More Dark Side Of The Ring Episodes Are "Coming Soon"

Dark Side of the Ring's fourth season came to an end earlier this year, covering topics such as Marty Jannetty, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Doink the Clown. Right after the curtain fell on season four, the show's creators asked fans what they'd like to see covered in a potential season five. Not confirmation that there will be a fifth season by any means, although Chris Jericho, Dark Side of the Ring's narrator, has confirmed more episodes are coming soon.

Chris Jericho's Confirmation

Replying to a fan praising Jericho's work on the show, the surefire Hall of Famer replied, "More episodes coming soon," tagging the official Dark Side of the Ring account in the process. The account hasn't replied or even liked Jericho's post, but it's hard to imagine the former AEW Champion would have gone ahead and said something like that if there weren't plans for a fifth season.

In fact, Jericho's post, and a teaser from the aforementioned Dark Side account a few days earlier, heavily hint that the gap between seasons four and five will be a short one. On top of the Jericho comment, a picture of some shears in what is unmistakably where the Dark Side creators recreate iconic scenes from wrestling's past. There were rumors Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake will have an episode in season five, and this appears to have confirmed that.

What To Expect In Season Five

Also potentially on the season five docket is a Scott Hall episode. It has already been confirmed by a few people involved, including Kevin Nash, that Hall was going to be the subject of an episode in season four. Those involved were unable to make that happen, so Hall's episode may have been pushed to season five. Fans also want to see an episode on Vince McMahon, although with his situation still not resolved, I can't see that happening quite yet.

There was a two-year gap between seasons three and four of Dark Side of the Ring, brought about in part by its creators helping The Rock create his territories docuseries. If they don't have another project like that to complete before going full steam ahead on season five, it adds up that work on it is already well underway and that it might be ready to start airing sooner than you think.
