5 Current WWE Women’s Wrestlers Who Will Win A World Title Within The Next 5 Years (& 5 Who Won't)

The WWE Women’s divisions seem to be in a bit of a holding pattern at the moment. With the exception of a just a few ladies, the field has been dominated Horsewomen, Asuka, and Ronda Rousey, and Bianca Belair. The time for building up some of the future has to be right now.

Some bookers and industry insiders would say if you’re not building for the future, you’re going to die on the vine. The top stars aren’t going to be the top stars forever. Depending on how the brass see these superstars, there going to be women’s champions sooner than later.

10 Will - Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville

When it comes to the booking of Sonya Deville, the WWE has always been kind of start and stop with her. It's certainly seemed like on some occasions, Deville has been in line for a potential run with either of the Women's Championships.

Deville still has several years ahead of her, and while she may not have a prolonged title reign with the competition on the main roster, one can easily see her at least having a reign as a transitional champion at some point down the line.

9 Won’t - Shotzi Blackheart

shotzi

The last time Shotzi was used in any major capacity was on the black and gold NXT, alongside Ember Moon. She got called up to the main roster and was greeted nicely by the fans. Rather than let the fans enjoy their fandom for the tank riding punk goth rocker, she was booked to be a heel, almost immediately assaulting Sasha Banks.

But the spotlight currently doesn’t belong to her at all, and it doesn’t seem like it will anytime soon.

8 Will - Nikkita Lyons

nikkita-lyons-wwe-nxt

Whether it’s on NXT 2.0 or if she gets drafted to the main roster, blonde bombshell Nikkita Lyons is destined for a championship run in WWE. Her unique look screams of what Vinnie Mac loves best - big beautiful blond babyfaces, male or female.

Nikkita also has experience coming from WOW that will only help her stand out against the current field of NXT athletes and Level Up wannabes.

7 Won’t - Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke WWE

In a similar fashion to Liv Morgan before her recent MITB win and subsequent cash-in, Dana Brooke has meandered around the main roster for years now and that’s no fault of her own. It’s actually pretty amazing to think that while she also fits the McMahon template of a big beautiful blonde with muscles, she hasn’t been pushed harder.

We all know that being the face of the 24/7 mob isn’t going to get her anywhere either. Hopefully she’s at least having fun running around with R-Truth and collecting a paycheck for it.

6 Will - Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans Posing

The WWE has been incredibly short-sighted with Lacey Evans, hopefully until this very moment. They’ve spent several months and who knows how much money on producing vignettes of her personal life story. She has overcome all kinds of adversity and became a real life GI Jane - a Marine Police Officer.

That story can, should, and has always played perfectly with WWE fans all over the world, but obviously especially stateside. Sooner or later, if not by the time you’re reading this The Southern Belle should be SmackDown Women’s Champion.

5 Won’t - Tamina

Tamina Superfly Splash

While she has been a stalwart and respected member of the women’s roster for over a decade, Tamina has also seldom been seen as anything more than just that. Unfortunately that doesn’t help her to stand out far enough to lead the division on screen as a champion.

The ovation she got At WrestleMania 37 was enough to push her to the top of the tag team scene, but a world title run is not going to be in her history. She has been with the company for over 10 years and with no heat behind her, it really feels the window has passed for any sort of strong singles run.

4 Will - Raquel Rodriguez

Raquel Rodriguez

Nowwith yet another new name, Raquel Rodriguez has been quite the star in the making on the blue brand with several great matches with Ronda Rousey. That’s definitely a good start and vote of confidence.

With Rousey probably not staying long, and Sasha and Naomi leaving, there aren’t a lot of babyfaces on SmackDown. Raquel can certainly fill that void.

3 Won’t - Nikki A.S.H.

Nikki A.SH.

The zany success story of the summer of 2021 was when deranged Scotswoman Nikki Cross donned a superhero costume. As Almost A Superhero, she tried to send a message that anyone can work hard and get near the superhuman echelon. Then a heel turn and then bupkiss.

She has been just floating around the bottom of the card and now part of a makeshift tag team with Doudrop.

2 Will - Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler

In a lot of ways, Shayna Baszler has been an uncrowned women’s champion for years. In NXT she was unstoppable. On the main roster, she’s been a fearsome competitor, but seldom placed in a championship program.

The natural storyline here would be between her and her fellow MMA Horsewoman and current champion, Ronda Rousey. Turn them loose in a nasty stiff match that would steal any show.

1 Won’t - Doudrop

Doudrop Posing

Considering they won’t even give this girl a proper name should be all that fans need to know about how the brass feels about Pipe-umm, Doudrop. But seriously, cast that aside (which isn’t hard to; unless you’re Mark Henry), and you have the kind of girl who will always be a big heater type character for other superstars.

From a perspective of logic, who would really beat her?
